Rewind to Christmas...

Better late than never!!!  Here are a few photos from our Christmas etc.  My goal is to get this blog caught up to date.  To say we are busy these days would be an understatement.  We live in a go-go-go world right now.  Daddy's new job is going very well and keeping him busy.  Mommy got anothe promotion on January 1st and has been attempting to hold the rest of the household together.  So far we're doing pretty well.  We've had alot of sleepless nights with our little Punky.  She sure has given us a run for our money!!!!
What else is new.....Berkley learned how to run which has been loads of fun for Kamden who finally has someone to run laps around the kitchen table with him.  She's learning new words all the time, and I've really noticed in the past month or so how well she's understanding things.  We tell her to go do or get something and she actually DOES it.
Kamden moved up to the 4 year old room at school.  He LOVES his teachers Miss Julie and Miss Rachel.  He is also learning so many things every day.  Still a little issue with the sitting still very long with such a short attention span.  He has been really into puzzles lately.  So that is a good exercise for him to sit and do something for a period of time.  His personality is just go, run, fight, play dinosaurs, talk, talk, talk, nonstop!

Giving my baby a love
Just a little mess!
Kamden "Mom, what are we doing?"
Me:  "Taking your picture for the Christmas Card."
Kamden: "But, what are the lights for?"
Me:  "So we have pretty lighting for the picture"
Kamden:  "Will we have thunder too?"
Me: "What? No.  Lighting.  From the Lights."
Kamden: "Are they hot?  Will my legs start on fire?"
Me:  "What? No.  Where do you think of these things?"
Kamden: "Just inside my head. Right here" (points to forehead)
Such a temptation to TOUCH THE TREE!!!

1 Year for my Princess

Well, I can hardly really call her a princess.  She is my rough and tough little bulldozer.  We don't stay in one place for more than 30 seconds, unless there is food involved!!!

Here are the 1 year stats for the little monster:

Height 28.5 inches (41%)
Weight 22.5 pounds (60%)
Head  - i can't remember the cm size....but it was 97%.  LOL

Dr. Cureg was quite impressed by her walking skills.  And the fact that if she either fell down or lost her balance that she was able to correct it so quickly.  She giggled and laughed and jabbered away.  And then they pricked her finger and that nurse got a stern yelling!  We got 3 shots, all the nasty ones that totally suck.  I love when they tell you what to look for in 7-10 days to see if she has a rash from the MMR or actually has the chicken pox.  Great.  So on top of the 103 degree fever for the next 4 days we get to look forward to THAT!!

And the biggest news.......we only need to get 4 more teeth.  Just four folks.  That would be the 2 top incisors and the 2 bottom incisors.  She has all of her molars already plus 4 teeth on top and 4 teeth on the bottom.

Tonight we will celebrate as a family.  I bought a small princess cake (that Kamden picked out for her) just big enough for the 4 of us!!!

No photos, just words

Sorry to dissappoint.  I mean, who wouldn't want to come here and just stare at photos of my uber-gorgeous kiddos?!?!?

So the good news is that I treated myself to a new camera - so the pics have been plenty lately and they look great.  The bad news is that they live on that little blue card in my camera and have yet to be downloaded to Photobucket.  SO....someday.

Let's see, since I've been absent what's happened.  Well, the month of November.  Berkley got like 6 teeth.  She was not pleasant during this.  Kamden turned into a teenager.  Well, not really.  But he's been very into the "radio music" lately.  Should I be concerned that one of his most favorite songs is "Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj??  So we traveled in the wee hours of the morning to Paullina on Thanksgiving morning.  After about 2 hours of bliss it turned into Mom going nuts.  And suprisingly, the only thing that made the 2 in the back quiet and content was if Daddy blasted Gangster Rap from his XM Radio.  I don't know if it's the rhythm that gets them??  Whatever.  It worked.  And I kept my sanity.

Then we all took our turn getting sick.  Mom had a sinus infection.  Then Mom had the flu.  Dad had the flu.  Kamden had the flu.  Berkley had the flu on top of getting FOUR more teeth.  Then Berkley got an ear infection.  Thanks to modern medicine it only took 1 dose and she was this smiley, happy little Berkenheimer again.  I love her so much more when she's not the crazy teething girl!!!

Let's see - what else happened.  We Christmas shopped.  Mostly in shifts, during lunch hours, because that's how we roll.  But it's done and we're ready.  Billy (our elf on a shelf) has been quite helpful in getting a certain little boy to eat good supper and clean up his toys.

So that was November.  OH - I almost forgot.  The first weekend of November we got to see my very favorite people, the Hunters from Alabama!!!  It's always so nice to see them and catch up.  We went out for supper on Saturday and even got to watch the LSU/Alabama game with them.  It didn't take me long to start saying "Roll Tide"

So that's it.  Since I have no pictures to share....and I'm at work...I'll leave you with the below photo.....thanks to December being a slower month for me that I can catch my breath.  Oh but don't you worry.  My budget for 2011 got set at a whopping $3 million.  Yup - I'll be working my little tail off all year to hit that number.  The board in the photo below just became our most recent digital unit.  We're now up to 22 locations I believe that are digital in Des Moines.  Yay us.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

September

Somehow the month of September has come and gone.  We've been busy little bees.  Today is my last 1/2 day Friday afternoon and I'm currently trying to get caught up around the house while I"m on a conference call on my cell phone.  Story of my life!!  So here's another random hodge-podge of photos.
Enjoy!

Making Taco night fun :)
Giant carrots from the garden!
Punky learned how to crawl - at lightning speed.
And pull herself up on things.  Which results in plenty of crashes too.
But whenever Grandpa Freddie sings to her she falls right to sleep!
Mom, What do you mean exactly when you say 'get out of there'
Spirit week at school.  This was crazy hair day.  Mouse and hair spray....he thought he was cool stuff.
My attempt to get two crazy hair kids pictures.  Punky just had hairspray in her hair :)
Like a monkey looking for food......
And the final attempt - where I gave up.  We could probably enter this in those 'creepy family photo' contests....
