A new post...

Such a creative title, I'm well aware! Kamden is finally on the mend of his sickness; however it did end up taking a trip to see the doctor. He started getting wheezy lungs on Tuesday so on Wednesday morning we went in. Sinus infection and the start of Bronchitis. Thankfully the antibiotics have cleared him up quite nicely. Except now both Mom & Dad have caught some version of it. Luckily a little sudafed, nettie pot, and lots of water should push us through!! Oh, and SLEEP!! Mama is super tired.

This past weekend we went to Rockford to say goodbye to Daddy's friend, Gabe. He was killed in a construction accident on Tuesday near Dakota Dunes. As you say your prayers tonight, please include his family. His wife is pregnant with their first child, and his mom was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. It was a sad day and he will be missed by alot of people.

Pancakes always taste better when you're sitting on Grandma's lap wearing an Indian hat, right?? :)

15 Month Well Check

Since I am absolutely awful at filling in Kamden's baby book I need to keep things up to date on here so we have documentation!! Last week Tuesday Kamden had his 15 month well check with Dr. Cureg. Here are the stats:

Height = 33 3/4 inches (98%)

Weight = 25 pounds (55%)

Head = 47.75 cm (73%)

Kamden, you are growing like a weed. You are so much fun right now, and probably the most work since you were a baby. You are a pro at meltdowns and temper tantrums, and then can turn around and giggle and dance 2 minutes later. You love to go to school and clap every morning when we get there. Usually I open the door to your room and you run in to your friends and turn around and wave Bye-Bye to me. You blow kisses, say many words, understand commands, and still laugh at us when we tell you NO. You love to color and put stickers on the page. You are probably your naughtiest during church!! All you want to do is run to the front.

You are a very good eater and love milk. If I had to guess, your favorites are meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Oatmeal and Bananas are a breakfast favorite.

I don't have any new pictures to post b/c wild man has had a cold/cough for quite awhile and is a total Snot Monster right now. Hopefully we're on the mend.

.....that would be Kamden Charles Smith - with the 2 handed masterpiece on my Den Wall. Thank the Lord they are washable crayons and a Clorox wipe took it right off.

Alabama Monkey Boy!!

This weekend was our annual trip for Daddy to go hunting with our family friends from Alabama. They've been coming now for almost 20 years and Lane has joined in for the past three. After a long day of hunting the whole crew went to Germantown for supper. We then proceeded to Paullina for a night of Halloween fun. Judging by the pain in my cheeks from laughing all night long it was a pretty good time...and I think the Alabama boys had fun too!! After Gpa Freddie emails the pictures we'll be sure to post them!!

While Daddy & Gpa were out hunting...Mommy & Gma and Kam hung out at home and played and played and played!!!!

New trick - we went to take a picture on Friday night and Gpa Freddie said "say cheese" Kamden looked right at him and went "CHEESE!!" It was maybe the cutest ever.

Minus the hat issue - Kam had a good Halloween party on Friday at school. They all dressed up and played games and went trick or treating. They also must have been busy at craft time because today we got a whole bunch of Halloween crafts home to enjoy!!!! :)
