Mother's Day

Mother's Day was too good for words this year.  On Sunday we got up and went to church at 8:00 like normal.  Afterwards we packed up Daddy's truck, made a quick stop at HyVee for supplies, and headed East to do a little fishing.  One of  Lane's friends from when he worked at the radio station has this pond in their backyard.  It's AMAZING!!!!!!

Daddy & Kamden getting settled

Perfection.  Lane would cast and hand the pole to Kamden and say "reel"  By the time Kamden reeled it in there was a fish on it - he was thrilled :)

Us girls took a different approach to the afternoon.  This was when we were just getting set up.

You've all seen Forrest Gump, right?

Yeah, I know - I'm too cute for words.

Smart move bringing the umbrella for Miss Berkley.  My little hot baby.  I kept removing clothes the longer we were there!!!  She laid under her umbrella while Mommy got some sun.  Then we both took a little snooze, ate some food.  It was a little slice of Heaven.

Sounds like an amazing mothers day! And no it's not selfish- we really want to move back to iowa- having our home sell fast would be awesome!
